We run English camps, project weeks and class trips for schools and families across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. Every one of them is carried by the people in the room.

A LevelUp week is a week of English lived out loud: students build, perform, pitch, argue and laugh their way through five days, and the trainer is the one who holds that together. If you like the sound of that room, there is a place for you here.

You work with one group for the whole week — long enough to learn their names, their in-jokes and what finally gets the quiet one talking.

A method that is already built

Academies, themelets, energisers, reflections: the week has a shape and a resource library behind it, so your energy goes into delivery, not into inventing tomorrow morning at midnight.

Trainers come to us from Canada, the USA, Ireland, the UK and beyond, and work across the DACH region and Poland.

The core role

English Trainer

You deliver the week on site — camps, project weeks and class trips — as the trainer, the host and the person setting the tone. Weeks run through the German, Austrian and Swiss school year and holidays, and you travel to the school or the venue.

Austria and Switzerland are the next two markets we want running properly, and this role is how they get there. You sit between the Schools and Camps teams, find the schools worth talking to, and make the pitch sound like it was written for them rather than translated at them.

Research schools and decision-makers across Austria and Switzerland, then run the email and phone outreach yourself
Support proposals and bookings, and scout local venues and accommodation partners
Adapt our materials and social content for Austrian and Swiss audiences
Map the AT/CH school calendars so we know when the booking windows actually open
You bring: German at native or near-native level, strong English, a connection to Austria or Switzerland if you have one, and no fear of the phone

We are growing fast enough that the finances need someone who owns them. This is classic bookkeeping with a modern spine: tidy records, a clean handover every month, and workflows you are free to automate rather than repeat.

Run Spendesk, reconcile receipts and invoices, and keep transactions categorised and complete
Prepare the monthly handover to our tax advisor and keep records audit-ready
Track outstanding invoices and give us honest cashflow visibility
Automate what should be automated — the process is yours to improve
You bring: bookkeeping experience, familiarity with German processes, and ideally Spendesk, SevDesk or DATEV plus a GmbH or two in your past

Before you write

Do I need to speak German?

Not for trainer roles: the whole week runs in English, and that is the point of it. For office roles in Berlin, German and English are both working languages.

I am a teacher. Is this a teaching job?

It is close, and it is not the same. You lead a group through a themed week that ends in a showcase, a pitch or a performance — the language comes out of doing the thing. Classroom experience helps enormously; the delivery style is its own craft, and that part we train.

When do you recruit?

Continuously, ahead of each season — spring and autumn project weeks, and the summer camp block. Applying between seasons is fine; we keep strong applications on file and come back to them.

I am still at school — can I really do my Praktikum with you?

Yes, that is exactly what the Schülerpraktikum door is for, whether your school calls it Betriebspraktikum, berufspraktische Tage or Schnupperlehre. Tell us the dates your school has set, your year group, and — if you have one — which LevelUp camp or project week you were part of. Your school's English lessons are more than enough for the application; you survived a whole week of it, after all.

What is the student-ambassador programme?

The step after a strong Praktikum. Ambassadors stay connected to LevelUp through the school year — they represent us at their school, help out at events near them, and get first call when we look for junior help. It is invitation-only, and the Praktikum is how you earn the invitation.

Can I work only during my semester break?

Yes. A good share of the team works in blocks around their own studies or other work, which is why we ask for your available periods up front.
