Berlin is the classroom: at the City Day Camp based at the Kolle 37 adventure playground in Prenzlauer Berg, children aged 7 to 13 dive into English every day from 9:00 to 16:00. Mornings are creative project workshops (film, theatre or music); afternoons are city adventures – from zoo visits and Strandbad Weissensee to scavenger hunts – guided by native-speaker trainers. Friday brings the showcase with certificates. Snacks and water are provided; children bring their own packed lunch.
The concept
Halloween at the City Daycamp
During the October half term, we bring a spooky Halloween twist to our LevelUp Day Camps. Children design and build their own Halloween costumes, take part in trick-or-treating workshops (emphasis on the tricks!), play Zombie Tag in full make-up, and participate in the Monster Race, an escape-room-style challenge against the clock and against the monsters. We'll even be drawing on English Halloween traditions of our own – the witches' songs of William Shakespeare, and making pagan masks to ward off the bad spirits.
The week ends in the final presentations, where children present their theatre plays, films or songs – all spooky themed, of course. In between there are trips out to the park and the pool, a haunted scavenger hunt through the city, and an afternoon of face paint.

Kolle 37 is an urban adventure playground in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg: open spaces, creative structures, indoor and outdoor areas – central near Senefelderplatz with excellent public transport access.

The Final Presentation
On the last day, you’re warmly invited to watch the campers show off what they’ve built over the week — from magical short films to adventure journals, from businesses they’ve launched to the final dance ensemble. Standing up and presenting in English is often the moment their new confidence really shows. Ceremony, snacks and a certificate for every camper included.

You don’t have to wait until the last day to see what’s going on — our trainers share photos and stories from camp midweek, so you can follow along with what the group is up to almost live.
Frequently asked questions
My child only speaks a little English – is that a problem?
No. Our trainers run the whole day in English but meet every child at their own level: understanding comes first, and speaking follows once it feels safe. Playing, building and rehearsing together, even quieter kids warm up quickly.
Who looks after the kids?
A LevelUp team of native-speaker and international trainers runs the programme and stays with the group throughout the camp week. Midweek we share photos and short updates, and you are warmly invited to the final presentation on the last day.
What does a camp day look like?
Mornings start with interactive English sessions; afternoons are for projects, games and challenges – all in English, all supervised. Exact drop-off and pick-up times come with your registration confirmation.
